Best in class handwritten note-taking
I went on a rampage and bought Goodnotes, NotesPlus, Noteshelf, Notability, and UPAD - just to see what theyre all like! Goodnotes was the best - fastest responding, and easiest to use.
Also, Goodnotes draws by vectors, as do Notability and NotesPlus, and it does so more fluidly than the others. Noteshelf has a great UI but draws using raster mode so it wont scale up nicely, and if you draw over a picture in Noteshelf and then try to erase, the pic gets erased too - not just your edits!
Goodnotes allows you to draw lines, then use the highlighter tool to color what youve drawn. But the app puts the highlighting behind the lines so your drawings always look great. This app is very well thought out. Highly recommended for taking notes or sketching or both at once!
