Great but need some more updates

Great app, improved my gardes in classes by 5 percent , pushing to high 90s. Need some updates such as feature to insert multiple pictures from camera photos , right now i have to upload to gdrive to insert, may be option to insert multiplr pictures on one page etc. Best app though

Perfect

I have a 9.7 Pro with the Pencil. This app does it all. Perfect for writing, annotating, etc. I like to take notes in my job. Sometimes paper is all that is available. Even so, you can transfer paper notes to this app with the picture function, or better yet, transpose them manually to better organize the notes. The word recognition is amazing too. Lastly, its easy to share the notes between devices (I use the Dropbox backup feature in the app). Ive tried most of the other apps. This is the best.

Great with the Apple Pencil

I use this app to take notes using the Apple Pencil and it works great!

Option to lock

Will give 5th star with this Thanks

Perfect notebook app

I love the fact that this app feels so much like working in a real notebook. Being able to bookmark pages is perfect for marking the start of a lesson, and the search is really impressive. I wish I had an iPad Pro a few years ago when I started college, because using it with this app my last semester has been the absolute perfect way to take notes in class

Latency issues with ApplePencil...

Side-by-side comparison with the built-in "Notes" app in iOs makes it evident that responsiveness is not quite there yet; there is a. slight but noticeable delay that. cheapens the. experience of this app, and does. not. improve when adjusting the "posture" setting. This is a deal breaker for me, but once fixed this will. be a 5-star app.

Excellent app, Needs a better layout- RTL support

I am a graduate student dealing with hundreds of PDF books and papers for my major. There is possibility no better way than using GoodNotes for handling and annotating these electronic books. Printing them is impossible! I request the developers to provide a folder like layout on the left pane for easy access to categories and subcategories. Also, right to left handwriting is not supported. But It is easy to implement!

Great for Case Notes

Im a social worker in mental health field. Use GoodNotes to maintain a notebook for each client (current impressions, genogram, timeline, progress notes, etc.), staff meetings, supervision, and one as scratch paper to jot notes from voicemails I receive. Its perfect.

Close tie with Notability

On my 12.9 inch iPad Pro with Apple Pencil after trying Goodnotes, Notes plus, one note, note shelf, and notability, it is hard to decide between Goodnotes and Notability. I prefer notabilitys navigation system for finding and organizing notebooks. The navigation system in goodnotes doesnt give as good of a global picture. I also wish goodnotes would allow for changing the ink style of handwritten notes that are already written. I like Notabilitys inking better, but Goodnotes isnt bad. Goodnotes has better spacing between lines on paper. Notability has an annoying way of presenting separate pages close together in a vertical scroll so that its easy to end up writing something half on one page and half on another. The goodnotes notebook layout is horizontal scroll so the pages feel more separate. The Goodnotes pdf backup for notebooks reproduces the pages as is, whereas Notability adds a sizable border, which I dont like.

Buggy with PDFs.

GoodNotes handles handwriting very well, maybe the best app in the class for that purpose, but it is too buggy in handling big PDF files. It is a pity that: Opening a simple PDF book with outlines crashes the app. Trying to view the outlines again crashes the app. Syncing is not good. Syncing files across multiple platforms is impossible. And there is no way to write RTL notes .

Not a bad start

Overall not a bad app. Pretty easy to use however when you create a new notebook I would like to select the notebook style, paper and most importantly the number of pages I want to start with. Or have it default to 25 pages. When in a meeting and taking notes I just want to keep going, not stop to add a page. Other than that, good start.

Really good, need some improvement

I started to try it to do some school notes and maybe next semester replace paper notebooks for this app... It is really great so far, just some minor details are the why i dont give it 5 stars such as: -It does not recognize formulas such as some values or letters or any formula annotation when you try to convert it to text as if you had type it with the keyboard. -i can not draw a curve graph with help of the drawing forms of the app. -some new pen styles would be great. -When converting the doc from handwriting to text, would be great to already have the option to export it to word/pages or any pdf app. -add the ability to move the images to the back of the text and the highlight as well. -more cover options, maybe the option to add a personal image or at least more options than the ones that have now. But overall, this are just some stuff i would like to have, at least the formula recognition and the more styles of pens would be great to start with, but other than that i love the app... I have even printed some of my notes and love how it looks just like if i had written them with a nice pen and not digital.

Good app BUT cant email files

I love this app, use it everyday, but every time. I try to email the file I just wrote, the app crashes, just cant email it. Beside this, the app is perfect, please update it

Unreliable, and loses data

WARNING - I just purchased this and have been trying it out, all well and good. Its easy to learn, flexible, and I was about to make this my go-to app, then ... disaster. Very critical notes were horribly corrupted, and Ive been unable to recover but a fraction of notes. I would not recommend purchase of this potentially useful app until the developers solve their problem of file corruption. Use it at your own risk ... I wont until major changes are made.

Best Note-Taking App I Know

The features and flexibility of this app are great! I have tried others but this one makes it for me. Planning on using it for a long time. I have notes for different things, my class notes, my teaching notes, personal notes, etc., everything is classified separately...no mess. I recommend it big time :-)

The Best!

I have tried dozens of apps and this is the best! I spend much of my day attending meetings, its not always acceptable to use the keyboard, so I like to have the option to use the Apple Pencil and take handwritten notes. This app is intuitive and like Apple, it just works. I only have 2 small complaints. I wish it were more intuitive to add an additional page, when not changing types, and for those that have multiple pages, going back and forth between them should be simple with a swipe.

MY NOTEBOOKS KEEP DISAPPEARING!!! (~_~;)

Great app... Just that when I create a notebook and then close the app, its gone when I open the app again, EVERY TIME! Im using iPad Pro 9.7in on iOS 9.3.1 with an Apple Pencil.... Not sure if the OS software conflicts with this app... Please fix.... Thank you for developing this wonderful app, though.

Great app!

Love this app overall. It works very well with Apple Pencil. Will rate 5 stars as soon as we can import PDFs from iBooks.

Really good app

This notes taking app is so good that nearly satisfy all the demand I want. Just one feedback that could you team make the moving several folder into a list by only one moving? Now I can only hold any folder that I want to move and wait the pop up moving option. It can only do the operation to one folder every time. I got a lot of course and want to move all the course into one list.

Fantastic App

This app has several features that I need (that arent for everyone): 1. Search cursive handwriting 2. Individual notebooks 3. Automatic backups It does all these very well. This is the first app that I have found that searches cursive handwriting. The automatic backups are nice because I have it set to backup as a PDF in a Google Drive folder that is synced to other apps and my Mac so I also have an updated PDF of all my notes on all my devices without exporting. Fantastic app with great Apple Pencil support
