Best note taking app I have used

I got most of the top note apps and this one is the best with any stylus and easy to navigate

Very good application

Works well, really like the text box when writing with Apple Pencil or styluses. Only negative for me is copying text from other sources, its a little difficult to reformat text. I would recommend this App and I do use it regularly.

Fantastic app for university teaching and research

Im a physics professor at a research university and I use GoodNotes all the time: to lecture, proof papers, read and annotate anything, fill in and sign forms, do math derivations, discuss research ideas by annotating photos of the experimental setup... Its my go-to paper-free app.

Awesome app for class notes!

Great note-taking ability. Love the hand- written search too!

Great notetaking app - greet with Apple Pencil

I hav several notetaking apps and this one is by far the best. Extremely handy for marking up PDFs and images. Easy to use understand interface. Works great with the Apple Pencil. Well worth buying both the iOS and the MacOS apps - syncs using iCloud and even provides automatic backups through Dropbox.

Best app for notetaking on iPad Pro

This is by far and away the best app I have found for taking handwritten notes on an iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil. The Pencil is smooth and responsive, no lag, no offset. You can create multiple folders (categories), name your notebooks, import PDFs and highlight and annotate them in the app. In short it does everything I was looking for in a Notes app. If it has any weakness at all it is in exporting options, since notebooks created in Good Notes and exported in Good Notes format are done so as a ZIP file. However, you have the option to export as PDF or image file (PNG if memory serves), as well. All in all, this is the only app Im using for handwritten notes on my iPad Pro. I couldnt be happier with it.

Really good. Could use more colors and a few more drawing tools

Works nicely with the Apple Pencil. Syncs well on iCloud. It does need more colors for the drawing, line thickness would help, etc... But all in all, a very useful app.

It does everything I need.

Simple but very functional. I can write on PDFs files. File import is easy, although it sometimes fails to import zip files. Great app.

My favorite notebook simulator

I love this application over many others for the following reasons: - graph paper background options - toggle for "shape assist" is quick and easy to make diagraming look less sloppy. - unified sketch and font mode is simple unlike the two discreet modes in Apple Notes. I hope they would add more engineering graph paper and maybe some macros for replication and alignment some day too. This app is worth it IMHO!

Good "notes taking app for classroom environment

I had been looking for an app similar to "Windows Journal" of Windows platform. This app is closely matching though number of basic features missing like "continues vertical scrolling".

Very good

Love this app❤️

Could not download app

I am unable to download the app, it is showing an error overtime i try to download

Great but would love encryption

Awesome app. I use it to keep most of my journals and notes. Have had to turn off syncing because often my journals and notes are of a sensitive nature. Would love for it to include encryption options.

Nice

Best Ive found with the Pencil.

Yes, its that good!

This App made my iPad pro purchase come full circle. It seems to be my go to app of all the Apple pencil related apps out there. However, I do use Procreate for serious sketching and drawing. Its certainly not my intention to try and impress anyone but my clients are really amazed the way I can take a photo of a project and scribble my notes right over on top of the image with my Apple Pencil. Im a graphic designer and digital printer and it is such a timesaver when I dont have to use a separate pad and pencil. I can just look at my mock up and take it to the computer and off I go. I know it does a whole lot more than this but thats one of the features I really like and use. Good job on this one!

Stable, featurful, practical!

This app is not a looker, but its incredibly versatile and practical. The (essentially) lossless PDF auto-backups, automatic OCR search, and the ability to import custom paper and cover art are my favorite features. Well on its way to completely replacing my work notepad. Highly recommended!

Clash

I love this app. But when i use this app for many pdf files, the app have clash. At that time, i lost a lot of mark-up pdf files.

Great app

Love using the apple pen

Poor imitation of Noteshelf

This app tries to do everything Noteshelf does and fails. There are basic differences in in the interface, some-like increased number of colors-are good. Others, like no horizontal scrolling and taking multiple steps to start a new, blank page arent so good. (I can just see trying to smoothly bring up up a new page while taking class or meeting notes.) The lines on the "paper" are too close together. Having to pick a stationery template 4 each new page is a drag. No password protection of worksheets. No "write only" protection for notebooks. Sliders, instead of whole numbers for pen thickness, etc. all draw backs. Stick w/ Noteshelf and hope the merge the good parts of the two together.

Great program

I have used it to download PowerPoint and conference and work hand outs. Can make notes ease on it and easy to erase notes if needed. It is even easy to write your own notes. It is a very good program. I have had much use of it .
