The best handwriting note taking app available today. I wish for: -Ability to "Rotate" selection, not just scale. -"Convert" dialog must allow for editing on the fly. -Auto-smoothing must also accept curved lines, currently this functionality turns curved arrows into straight lines. Great work so far!

This is more than I was looking for and Im very impressed. Awesome notebooks for organization.

Perfect app for using Apple Pencil. I use this in my window and door business to do floor plans and window and door locations on the building, works perfectly and with the Mac version of Goodnotes they sync right to my computer. Well worth the price.

Along with the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil, this app has allowed me to shift to a fully paperless workflow. Highly recommended!

I have been looking for a good note taking application for years. I used the application "notability" since I was a freshman in college. However, the notability application has not had a significant update since I first downloaded it! So for many years I was looking for a substitution to notability, and when the iPad Pro came out I knew I needed something with excellent Apple Pencil support. I tired almost every single note taking application that I could find for the IPad Pro, but I could not find anything that could out-perform notability. This application is literally PERFECT. The way that it organizes the notes into binders is wonderful and simple. Apple Pencil support is wonderful, and does not lag at all (a problem in some other applications). However, the kill shot with this application is the searching functionality. I have HORRIBLE hand writing, and also use cursive when I am taking notes. This application is capable of searching and finding my notes perfectly! All I can say is that this application is AMAZING, will quickly become your favorite note taking solution, and also is worth trying out.

Ive used it in situations where I need to jot things down by hand and then be able to text search and edit later. Works beautifully. Ive used it in situations where the lecture or presentation was going too fast and was able to at least capture PPT slides with the camera support and crop into just what I wanted to keep. Fast and easy. Id love to have support for background audio recording, but you cant have everything. :) Also, unlike some other apps in this category, its universal, so I can reference the notes I take and edit on my iPad Pro from my iPhone 6S+. Love this. The iPad Pro and Pencil support is great. Do yourself a favor and try it.

After purchasing the Adonit Pixel I thought Id give Goodnotes a try. I had been using Notability for years. Wow! Im glad I gave Goodnotes a try. It is now my go to note taking app. The zoom feature is by far the best. My writing flow is not interrupted by having to pause and wait for the window to advance. With Goodnotes I simply move to the left and continue writing. Why has no one else thought of this? I also appreciate the handwriting to type and look forward to the improvements to be made over time. Thank you for your continued support of such a powerful app.

Enables great note taking. Really would benefit from layers and split screen view capability … especially on a 12.9" iPad Pro.

The app lost all my data when my iCloud password changed. Even though I was not using iCloud for backup.

This app was the answer to my prayers. A great interface, and seamlessly imports multi-page PDFs for markup. My new best friend on my iPad Pro

Very useful using the Apple pencil (the only way Ive tried it). Im getting more in the habit of keeping it open and within arms reach, so I can jot notes as I would on a legal pad. Its the most natural writing app Ive tried, and reads and writes like my regular handwriting - plus with editing capabilities and useful highlighting features. It has some cool features for drawing and pictures, but it is definitely a note taking app, vs. a "drawing" app.

I use this app for notating PDFs and creating note books that need iPhone pictures imported quickly and drawn on. I can use a cheap stylus for taking most kinds of notes and then using the highlighter functions and multiple colors to annotate my notes as well for better memory recall.

I LOVE this app! It works perfectly with my new iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. It matches my handwriting too good actually, I was hoping it would make my notes neater but since it mimics my handwriting style it looks like it does with pen and paper. Everyone in my college classes have been asking me about this app and I am promoting it like crazy because its awesome. I love that I can choose different notebook styles and covers, it helps keep my subjects organized.

Im brand new to GoodNotes. Ive not used other note taking apps before so perhaps Im not the best judge. But Im very pleased with GoodNotes and Ive found it easy to learn. Its instantly become a key app for me.

Blown away by this apps features. Zoom and auto advance works perfectly and makes handwriting translate just as youre writing on paper. This app is WAY BETTER than writing on paper. I wasnt even prompted to write this review. My experience has been tremendous so I jumped over to write it. Im using a stylus for my usage.

I am a private practice psychologist and use GoodNotes in my practice literally every hour. It is so very easy to use and organize! Couldnt recommend it highly enough!

This app is so close to being the absolute best iPad app. But after being spoiled by Notabilitys continous vertical scrolling, I just cant use it at all. Its currently one of the most-requested features on the developers suggestion page but for some reason its not even being considered. 3 stars because of this glaring omission, but an easy 5 stars if it gets fixed

I bought this app so I could write many notes with the promise of handwriting recognition and search. It does ok with recognizing handwriting (admittedly mine is not easy to read). BUT - the search ONLY WORKS WITHIN A GIVEN DOCUMENT. So - that basically means I need to KNOW where the info is - before I search. I want to be able to search across notes on different projects and customers - and get a search of my docs. Doing a find within a given document is FAR from the same thing. This little detail is not called out anywhere - it just claims searching through handwritten notes. I was told by the support team that it is in the works, but until then, I find it much less useful.
